Open Now through December, 2008

The Historical Society of Idaho Springs has unveiled their latest acquired Clarence Marchington photographs, recently donated by his great granddaughter, Josie. Experience what a photographer's studio was like in the early 1900s.

The Underhill Museum and Bookstore Opens

Open June through September, 2008
Tour this charming FREE museum, once the home and business of Dr. James and Lucy Underhill, located at 1416 Miner Street in the Downtown National Historic District of Idaho Springs.

Back by popular demand is the famous brass cash register originally used at The Mine Supply Store in downtown Idaho Springs which dates back to 1911. Your tour also includes our new permanent exhibit - The Vault! So many of our visitors have requested to see inside the Underhill vault that we have responded by showcasing gold ore, mining and assay artifacts used at the time of Dr. Underhill's surveying and mining engineering career. For more information call The Heritage Center at 303.567.4382.
