The Historical Society of Idaho Springs initiates, promotes and nurtures a historic preservation ethic in Idaho Springs and the heritage area.
This includes conservation of historic assets, heritage education through the operation of museums, outreach programs, events and publishing.
Our efforts serve to demonstrate the Society's longstanding commitment to foster civic involvement that provides a positive cultural and economic influence in the greater Idaho Springs community.

Creation of the Historic Sites and Facilities Agreement - A formal partnership with the City of Idaho Springs and the Historical Society of Idaho Springs to manage and preserve hisotric properties owned by both entities.
Awarded a Colorado State Historical Fund grant of $187,806 toward a $250,000 exterior renovation of the Central Hose House in downtown Idaho Springs in partnership with CCEDC, Les Johnson, City of Idaho Springs, and the ISVFD.
